I don't know if this is a clone of the rather unspecific bug #68440:
Even without running X, using 2.6.22-11-xen and having the hal service
started, my laptop crashes sooner or later (usually 1-2 mins). syslog
shows nothing unusual, just a restart. stopping /etc/init.d/hal solves
the issue.
