As I see in http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=R214858 description and in release.txt of various Dell ControlVault packages for Windows, bmc5880 is very related to UPEK drivers. They are proprietary, but fingerprint-gui (http://home.ullrich-online.cc/fingerprint/) include it
