Hi Felix, i am almost sure you are seeing something not related to this bug at all. This bug's symptom is that you cannot even complete the suspending of the computer, e.g. the machine won't even enter sleep mode at all. Plus, my machine supends and resumes fine if i stop X and unload the fglrx module.
