Public bug reported:

If Gnome Power Manager isn't checked in the session options inside the
System / Preferences Menu, the whole system freezes when I click the red
icon in the right corner of the screen to shutdown my system.

The menu with Shutdown, Restart, Logout, Hibernate, etc. takes more than
a minute to appear. The system is completely freeze during that whole
minute.

It's still possible to shutdown the computer, but it takes anormal time.

This bug happens in Gutsy tribe 6 with all updates.

** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
