Public bug reported: Edit: This bug is a possible duplicate of bug #1394869
So far, from what I can gather, the clickpad functions normally when using the touchpad portion to maneuver the onscreen pointer. However, the act of using one of the hardware click buttons causes it to malfunction. To test, I ran: xinput --test 11 and the output given shows a rapid stream of positioning data prior to the click, then no data after the click, however the mouse pointer appears to continue to move. However attempting to click on anything with the pointer after the first click of the clickpad registers as a click in the same location with either the clickpad or an external mouse until the clickpad is disabled with: xinput set-prop 11 "Device Enabled" 0 which of course causes the clickpad to cease function, however the USB mouse then continues to work normally. If you would like for me to perform any other tests, please let me know what I can try.
