This happened when I ran apt-get dist-upgrade off a fresh install of
14.10. I had already loaded the propriatary nvidia drivers from
331-updates and reboot. Apt-get gave me kernel updates, and while they
were being applied apport popped up to tell me this bug occured.

This was the only error noted in xterm: run-parts: executing
/etc/kernel/postinst.d/dkms 3.16.0-25-generic /boot/vmlinuz-3.16.0-25-generic
Error! Bad return status for module build on kernel: 3.16.0-25-generic (x86_64)
Consult /var/lib/dkms/nvidia-331-updates/331.89/build/make.log for more
information.
