Yes, that's what I meant when I said the VPN link in the applet submenu does not seem to react to my clicks. I click and nothing happens at all. But command line works fine so it seems like it must be an applet problem. If I had more knowledge I would look at the code that handles the menu interface but I don't know what to look for :)
I am happy to continue troubleshooting if you have the time. I agree I do not want to monopolize this ticket since it seems as though my issue is not quite the same as everyone else's.
