Seen in Mint, which uses the Ubuntu package straight, IIRC: Package version reported as 7.6.50.20131218-0ubuntu1+1 on my system.
prefixing 'arm-none-eabi-' to the two man pages filenames, which is consitent with (some/all?) other packages from: usr/share/man/man1/gdb.1.gz usr/share/man/man1/gdbserver.1.gz to: usr/share/man/man1/arm-none-eabi-gdb.1.gz usr/share/man/man1/arm-none-eabi-gdbserver.1.gz solves the issue. I have unpacked the archive. changed filenames, repackaged and proceeded installed locally with success.
