It is now fixed. It should be an incompatibility with any of the tetex packages because I have downgraded to prosper_1.00.4+cvs.2004.03.29-2 and it also works now.
I have also tested with: prosper_1.00.4+cvs.2004.03.29-2 prosper_1.00.4+cvs.2006.10.22-1.1 prosper_1.00.4+cvs.2007.05.01-1 I suggest to close the bug.
