the problem, as I understand it thus far, has less to do with the 
bytecode as it does the byte-cruncher (CPU) and the way the gstreamer 
engine chunks up the bits for a 64-bitCPU...I've seen people running 
Intel64 with the same problem, but only temporarily (eg. prior to a 
patch) for 32bit CPUs.
