I have run it when you suggested I try the bcm43xx. I also tried it on the Dell driver that works with ndiswrapper, on the driver provided here http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=185174; did modprobe bcm43xx; tried various rebootings etc.In fact, I ended alwways using the same piece of software, bcmwl5.sys. Iwconfig never lists any connection.
