Hi, The problem has not manifested itself for a quite a few months now. Unfortunately, this also coincides with the date at which my ISP significantly improved the quality of the internet connection all of a sudden (following legal action of many fed up customers !). I say "unfortunately", because I bet the problem is still there in Sylpheed, but I am now unable to reproduce the bug, hence can't help fix the problem anymore ! :-(
