Public bug reported: In Geary, every single time I go to delete an email, I get a confirmation dialog. This unnecessarily spams users with dialogs-- especially if they're triaging a lot of email--and makes it more likely that they'll skip over/not read them.
In elementary, we handle this by providing an easy undo instead of confirmation dialogs. This means users aren't spammed by dialogs but can still not delete something if they somehow hit the button by accident. It's part of our HIG: http://elementaryos.org/docs/human-interface- guidelines/always-provide-an-undo Gmail on the web behaves similarly, as does Android.
