Upon switching to linux-image-3.16.0-21-generic (3.16.0-21-generic #28 -Ubuntu SMP Mon Oct 6 16:00:43) I can suspend/resume again. Also, the network is no longer FUBAR'd after resume, as it was with the failed resumes. (linux-image-3.16.0-4-generic was also unable to suspend, much like the last month of -lowlatency versions... can't promise it's the kernel version really... just suggesting it's not the -generic vs. PREEMPT.)
I also re-installed/built nvidia-304-updates, since after some kernel upgrade it failed with modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'nvidia_304': Function not implemented I no longer have the "hibernate" button like I did a month or two ago (hibernate also used to work) but I'm happy to have anything. As so many packages update each time... who knows what fixed it.. could be pulseaudio, nvidia, X? Now when I scroll in Firefox Xorg is pegged at 100% and everything gets SUPER jittery. Well, one step forward... (scrolling in Chrome, terminals, etc, is fine... only Firefox brings the system to a halt on webpage scrolling..) cheers -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1376001 Title: [Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
