Yes, one time I played with XGL (3 month ago), and the package "xserver-xgl 1:1.1.99.1~git20070727-0ubuntu1 GL-based X server" is installed.
After removing "libglitz-glx1 libglitz1 xserver-xgl" I can start my session.
