noted: I've grayed the script. pointed to an updated version of the script using the newer xf86-video-ati-6.7.192.tar.bz2 (26-Aug-2007) but alex.bb http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=3274249&postcount=172 in my view has the best method. using fiesty-backports and audiophyl's compiled kernel modules drm.ko and mach64.ko compiled from drm sources freedesktop.org
