This may well be an issue with xserver-xorg-core 1.16, or recent xserver-xorg-video-intel.
I am getting the "_xgeWireToEvent: Unknown extension 148, this should never happen." log messages as well, but only when the Epiphany web browser is rendering HTML content with alpha channel < 1.0. When this is happening, rendering performance degrades by orders of magnitude. If the transparent content is hidden or the page is closed, the messages stop and performance is restored. This behaviour started occurring after upgrading to xserver-xorg-core 1.16. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1369113 Title: Steam game began crashing 2014-09-12 (cross-post Source bugtracker) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/steam/+bug/1369113/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
