Basilio, thanks foryour reply. I'm very sorry about my ignorance in this feature. As a newbe in Linux environment, and in Ubuntu consequently, I did not try this option. And, as I posted a question about this matter in brazilian Ubuntu forum and it was a doubt for some of the people there, I really did think the it was a bug.
This morning I tried what you suggested, and yes, I had only to change this feature to see more applications that's running, at System Monitor. But, again, gzip and also tar applications begun to execute without any reason. I was navigating the internet, with Mozzila Firefox, and within the same sites I visit all morning, before leaving to office. But that is another issue, I guess. I really apologise about opening a bug report at launchpad about this matter, and would like to know what do I have to do to close it. Thanks again, Claudio Miranda. 2007/9/4, Basilio Kublik <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > > did you change the default view to View -> All Processes?, because > gnome-system-monitor by default only shows the user's process which is > fairly good default value in my opinion. > > ** Changed in: gnome-system-monitor (Ubuntu) > Status: New => Incomplete > > ** Changed in: gnome-system-monitor (Ubuntu) > Importance: Undecided => Low > Assignee: (unassigned) => Basilio Kublik > > -- > gzip appears under 'top' command but not in system monitor list > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/137358 > You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber > of the bug. > -- gzip appears under 'top' command but not in system monitor list https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/137358 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
