I believe I am having the same or similar issue. Running Edubuntu (ubuntu 14.04 LTS) on a Dell Latitude E6400 laptop.
Symptoms: if lid is closed, causing the computer to go into suspend (according to the settings), it will crash when the lid is opened again. The screen comes up, but the keyboard will not respond when I try to enter the password, nor can I use the shut down menu. I do believe that when a mouse is plugged in, I have been able to use the shut down menu, as long as I do not attempt to use the keyboard at all before doing that. The only way out once it freezes is to hold down the power key for a hard shutdown. Let me know if there is anything I can do to generate a report for you. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1366330 Title: [FUJITSU SIEMENS AMILO Xi 3650] suspend/resume failure To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1366330/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
