My initial workaround seemed to be good enough... sudo mv /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.7.0-openjdk-i386/src.zip /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.7.0-openjdk-i386/src.zip-oldSymlink
sudo apt-get install --reinstall openjdk-7-source I notice that /usr/lib/jvm/openjdk-7/src.zip seems to have been updated, and that a new symlink was not created. I'm not sure (at this time) whether I should now rename the old symlink, or whether it is redundant. I hope this early information helps! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1359477 Title: package openjdk-7-jdk 7u65-2.5.1-4ubuntu1~0.14.04.1 failed to install/upgrade: trying to overwrite '/usr/lib/jvm/java-7-openjdk-i386/src.zip', which is also in package openjdk-7-source 7u55-2.4.7-1ubuntu1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openjdk-7/+bug/1359477/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
