This is because 'gksu' is missing in Ubuntus official repository dependencies. Take a look at https://bugs.debian.org/cgi- bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=735122
You can either install gksu manually with 'sudo apt-get install gksu' or use our PPA with 'sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bit-team/stable && sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade' You might have to move your config after this from ~/.config/backintime/config to /root/.config/backintime/config and change ownership to root. ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #735122 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=735122 ** Project changed: backintime => backintime (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: backintime (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1357961 Title: Missing home config for anachron and root To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/backintime/+bug/1357961/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
