Further : This is 32 bit Xubuntu 14.04.1 Although power manager is set correctly to "Suspend", on closing the lid the system does NOT appear to suspend as it does when the "Log-off Suspend" button is clicked or the hardware "Suspend" key is pressed i.e. the problem APPEARS to be on lid close rather than lid open.
Power manager and light-locker set NOT to lock on suspend or shutdown. Also tried removing light-locker and installing xscreensaver as reported above / elsewhere. No change. System still shows black screen on lid open no matter what every time. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1303736 Title: [SRU] Black screen after wakeup from suspending by closing the laptop lid To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xfce4-power-manager/+bug/1303736/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
