I'd call that more of a workaround than a solution. It seems apparent that there is some firmware aspect to the problems, but from others with similar problems it sounds like it's at least less prevalent with 3.15 and 3.16 kernels.
I've identified a couple of fixes that could be responsible for the improved behavior, and I've made a test build for trusty with these fixes. I'd appreciate it if you could give it a try (with the -8 firmware) and let me know how it works for you. I've posted the build at: http://people.canonical.com/~sforshee/lp1349572/linux-3.13.0-32.57+lp1349572v201408111147/ Thanks! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1349108 Title: Disconnections problems each day after upgrade linux-firmware:amd64 (1.127.4, 1.127.5) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1349108/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
