First I tried with boot-repair http://paste.ubuntu.com/7951398/ , then manually with a complete purge and reinstall of grub-efi-amd64, plus grub-install, dpkg-reconfigure grub-efi-amd64 and update grub2, as seen in others post. None of that worked. - I found that if I change boot order with efibootmgr from hdd to ubuntu temporarily (-o) from livedvd, the startup goes well; when I try to do that permanently (-n) that doesn't work.
