Public bug reported:

Using Ubuntu 14.10 alpha 2 with all updates. Clean install.
Network manager 0.9.8.8-0ubuntu23
Wifi-card: Intel Wireless 7260 (Rev 73)

The Wi-fi symbol in the top right corner does not indicate that it is
connected to Wi-fi even when it is connected. (It shows a question mark
instead)

Expected behavior is that it would show signal strength, or at the very
least "make it grey" and remove the question mark.
