Here is what I did
Just like Bertram (bertram-q) ..

1) edit the file

/etc/default/grub
replace 
GRUB_DEFAULT=0
With 
GRUB_DEFAULT=1

2) sudo update-grub
3) Reboot

Issue fixed.
