This is very likely caused by the same issue as LP: #1301995 - specifically that the tests are being run as non-root, but they still try to write the settings.db file into /var/lib/system-image (which is only root:root writable). I don't believe this will affect any actual touch images, just Q/A. Still, it's an easy fix; we'll use ~/.cache /system-image/lib/settings.db in that case.
