Public bug reported: HI all,
my touchpad is not recognised on my new Acer Aspire E5-771G. The problems occurred right after the installation of Ubuntu. Strange enough sometimes it works and after the next boot it doesnt. On Windows 8.1 (i have dual boot) touchpad works fine. Touchpad is not recognised, this meas there is no entry in xinput - list and no entry in /proc/bus/input/devices. In these cases when touchpad is working there are entries. I tried gconftool statement, of course Fn+F7 every time, modprobe - r psmouse and so on. Nothing worked. Touchpad is by synaptics. Ubuntu version ist 14.04 Any help would be very appreciated. Thank you in advance !
