Public bug reported: After upgrading to 14.04 LTS from saucy, in thunderbird, a folder's contents (subfolder of inbox) disappeared. In the folder pane, it was shown twice.
Checking the folder files in the profile shows: Original files, still present (first part of name changed for privacy reasons): example*ma example*ma.msf Additionally, two files appeared: example8ffcb1c0 (a directory, empty) example8ffcb1c0.msf Worked around by renaming manually in the file system.
