We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures At a minimum, we need: 1) The version of scribus (or scribus-ng) 2) The version of Ubuntu. Apart this, from 2008 to today, a lot of things changes, and I don't see this bug. Do feel free to report any bug you might find.
