I have had related behavior for a long time -- at least the 3 few editions of Linux Mint. I am using MATE (the fork of Gnome 2).
Here is the problem, which is reproducible: Sometimes I use a dual monitor setup. I've learned not to suspend (usually by closing the laptop lid) while the second monitor is active. Because then I am hosed: when I try to resume, the machine is frozen and needs to be rebooted. (I can't even do Ctrl-Alt-F1 to get a terminal login prompt. I think I do have mouse movement, like the original poster, but would have to check.) Let me know if I can help with more information. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1322750 Title: Gnome-shell hang on wake from suspend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1322750/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
