More info... I updated and now the kernel version is 3.15.0-6-generic and efibootmgr's 0.7.0
Now when I run just "efibootmgr", I get the following message satish@LH532:~$ efibootmgr show_boot_order(): No such file or directory Looking at efibootmgr.c, it looks like the efi_get_variable() might be failing although I do not see any 'new' entry in dmesg. The boot time 'efivars: get_next_variable: status=8000000000000002' exist. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1273060 Title: [Fujitsu LIFEBOOK LH532 (UMA)] Ubuntu EFI install locks out firmware access To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1273060/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
