Public bug reported: In a package I am building, I listed "Build-Depends: libboost-python- dev" in the debian/control file. However, buildd failed to build a binary and reported the following error: "/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_python". As far as I understand these things, depending on the -dev package should be sufficient for ensuring that the libraries will be available at build time. In this case, it's not.
The package I am trying to build is at http://ppa.launchpad.net/astraw/ubuntu/pool/main/c/cgkit/ (The specific version is dated 01-Sep-2007 21:00.) The build log is available at https://launchpad.net/~astraw/+archive/+build/382832 ** Affects: boost (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- "Build-Depends: libboost-python-dev" not sufficient to build boost Python code https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/136649 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
