The _PCL error, ex. "Detected error 'Type' when evaluating '\_SB_.ADP0._PCL'" can also be the result of mis-match with ACPI spec. For example, the ADP0._PCL returns a NAME when ACPI spec requires "A variable-length Package containing a list of References to devices or buses". This is very common error in BIOS.
Oddly enough, the battery device returns the the correctly output. Fortunately, Linux kernel does not actually use the _PCL object and we can safely ignore it. We may also improve FWTS not to trigger CRITICAL failure for _PCL but this will wait for further discussion in FWTS team. ** Changed in: fwts (Ubuntu) Status: New => In Progress -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1297670 Title: [Dell XPS13 9333] klog, method: Critical Failures To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fwts/+bug/1297670/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
