My idea now is to create a new package instead which contains align_image_stack, along with its dependencies from Hugin SVN. align_image_stack will not compile against the current hugin. So, the align_image_stack will contain the align_image_stack source along with all the headers (from Hugin SVN) that it needs for compilation.
This should eliminate regressions with hugin, eliminate package conflicts with hugin and hugin-svn, and provide a good user experience with Qtpfsgui.
