Public bug reported: When I try to edit an existing evolution contact, when I click on "OK" to save it a window pops up, saying
No such interface `org.gnome.evolution.dataserver.AddressBook' on object at path /org/gnome/evolution/dataserver/AddressBook/32736/2 The problem happens both with local and remote (google) address-book, and with any contact I try to modify, and even trying to modify a single character in any field of the contact. Please let me know if I have to provide any other information. $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS Release: 12.04 $ apt-cache policy evolution evolution: Installato: 3.2.3-0ubuntu6 Candidato: 3.2.3-0ubuntu6 Tabella versione: *** 3.2.3-0ubuntu6 0 500 http://it.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status What I expected to happen: Having the contact modified and saved What happened instead: The contact won't be saved, with the error and behaviour described above ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: evolution 3.2.3-0ubuntu6 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-65.98-generic 3.2.60 Uname: Linux 3.2.0-65-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu17.6 Architecture: amd64 Date: Thu Jul 3 09:41:46 2014 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release amd64 (20091027) MarkForUpload: True ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=it_IT:it:en_GB:en TERM=xterm PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=it_IT.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: evolution UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to precise on 2013-06-03 (394 days ago) ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug precise running-unity -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1337206 Title: Cannot modify evolution contacts ("No such interface" error) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/1337206/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
