** Description changed: Hey there. This is my first bug report on LP so please don't beat me up if I'm doing something wrong. Yesterday I read the changelog of the linux-firmware package for Ubuntu Precise https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware/1.79.16 which tells me to "Install the multiverse package amd64-microcode - instead [...]". But this package is just not available to install on - Precise, as you can see if you search + instead [...]". However, this package is just not available to install + on Precise, as you can see if you search http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?suite=all&searchon=names&keywords=microcode (Ubuntu 13.04 is the first to have this package available). Any Precise user with an AMD processor is now potentially missing microcode which could lead to system instability and data corruption. So, it would really be nice if you would make that package available for Precise, too. Regards Dalai
