Alright. This means the line in /etc/fstab is indeed correct :)

No, the script that mounts filesystems at startup takes care not to try
to mount remote file systems, including (but not limited to) smbfs,
cifs, and nfs.

Each time a network interface comes up, we attempt to mount the
networked file systems.

Does your syslog mentino trying to mount it?
