I also have still same issue after performing dist-upgrade as requested. I try to explain what I see : I get to the login screen, but the resolution is all wrong, and when I login, there is only the wallpaper. Fallback to gnome is not working neither. Everything is ok when I point in Grub to 3.13.0-24.
