I have an HP Pavilion dv6 and this affects me too. The only shortcut working for me is Alt+PrtSc. PrtSc alone does not work, neither Shift+PrtSc.
I've tried running 'gnome-screenshot' and 'gnome-screenshot -a' on the Terminal and they work fine.
