Hi, I'm getting the same trouble as Mikael running linux- image-2.6.32-61-server on multiple machines.
I didn't try sound but firefox for sure locks it up. Ctrl-Alt-F1 to a console still works as does ssh, where you can kill the X server and get back to the login screen. Mouse works but clicking on things becomes unresponsive. rebooting and selecting linux-image-2.6.32-60-server with grub gets it back to a usable state, but there is definitely something amiss in the new kernel image. nVidia proprietary driver is being used by both systems locking up (both AMD PhenomII X6). (where else would Jacco have gotten the new package upgrade anyway?) thanks, Hamish ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1327220 Title: No sound after kernel upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1327220/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
