changing the backlight slider has no affect of actual screen brightness
in Ubuntu 14.04 using the 3.13.0-27-generic #50-Ubuntu kernel, also
exist on latest daily 3.15 kernel marked for trusty tahr.
apparently works if passing acpi_backlight=vendor
This is a duplicate made to be able to generate info for tracking using
ubuntu-bug. Bug is better explained in that report.
