"The log has no crash. Is your issue fixed now?" Yes, I stated in previous comment that I was attaching the logs if they could be of any use. I had switched to Thunderbird in the meantime, not modified any evolution conf file to keep it default, so I cannot tell how this got fixed. But running evolution to get the logs with gdb, after installing the files you recommended, shows not errors or crashes. Working now and using it :) Thanks for all the work, and sorry for being so dumb with bug reports ;)
