Public bug reported:

I recently updating from nvidia-current to nvidia-331 due to having some
issues with Steam games, and I am now seeing text (particularly in
terminal windows) flickering from high quality clear rendering to very
blurry. It's quite slow and seems to fix itself when I switch focus to
the window,. Unfortunately it seems to always switch to the clearest
when I try to screenshot, but it's there and annoying.
