Can you please let us know what device and image # you're running? One theory is that if ofono exposes multiple modems, the network menu may show duplicate "Cellular Settings" entries.
There are two scenarios where ofono may show multiple modems: 1. If the device has multiple SIMs and has been properly configured to support multi-SIM ( this is not something that works automatically with Touch images for more devices ), then each SIM will be presented as separate modem instances ( eg. /ril_0, /ril_1, ... ). 2. The device has Bluetooth enabled, and another device which supports HandsFree profile is enabled and visible, then ofono will expose modems with a path pre-fixed with "/hfp/" ( eg. /hfp/98D6F731932A_843835670C3D ). These automatically are exposed and don't require explicit pairing. It should be noted however that these devices are also by default set to Powered=0 and Online=0. This can easily be reproduced by enabling BT on a 14.04 LTS Desktop with working BT and ensuring that the BT is both "On" and "Visible". ** Changed in: indicator-network (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1320619 Title: mako Ubuntu 14.10(r28) shows Celluar settings 3 times in drop menu To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-network/+bug/1320619/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
