This bug is affecting me too. And notice that, the UBUNTU SOFTWARE CENTER VERSION is 13.10, this isn't normal right? I think it's very easy for developers to change its version.
And the TEXT while viewing the application being installed, its color is WHITE LIKE ITS BACKGROUND! Im using ubuntu gnome.
