Public bug reported:

I had newly installed GnuCash under Ubuntu 14.04. The program was
working ok, however when I have closed it and closed other windows too I
have noticed that the "Splash Screen" stayed there grayed out and
totally unresponsive. It is not even showing up on the launcher bar as
a running app.

I am running a Dell Inspiron 17R with 8GB RAM and on an SSD (if that
matters.)

Best Regards,

Gabor
