can you access shares which doesn't ask for password (isn't protected)?. I just try to recreate this bug and couldn't, but i remember some time ago have similar issues with samba shares and nautilus, but now all works ok.
which version of nautilus and samba are you using?, could you check if you're really reaching the other server, at the server's samba logs should appear something about the connection. related packages: ========== samba 3.0.25b-1ubuntu4 samba-common 3.0.25b-1ubuntu4 nautilus 1:2.19.91-0ubuntu1 gnome-vfs-extfs 1.0.5-5.3 libgnomevfs2-common 1:2.19.91-0ubuntu1 libgnomevfs2-extra 1:2.19.91-0ubuntu1 gnome-keyring 2.19.91-0ubuntu1 libgnome-keyring0 2.19.91-0ubuntu1 ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- Nautilus, Gnome I/O slave fails to connect ot windows share https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/135411 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
