Binary package hint: compiz
I have intel 915 onboard graphic and I am using latest Gutsy packages. If I
enable Desktop Effects and change resolution with "Screen Resolution" or the
new "Screens and Graphics" I got a black screen. The only thing I can still see
is my mouse which is move able and system seems to react to clicks but it
doesn't help. X restart or changing to terminal is possible. It happens with
intel driver as well as with i810.
Without compiz resolution change works fine. It is even possible to disable
Desktop Effects, change resolution and enable it again afterwards without
problems.
