Public bug reported: I am using Ubuntu 14.04 without any ppa or otherwise installed package.
At Nautilus, when we click on "File" > "New Document" the only option showed is "Empty Document", ie, it does not show the option to create new files based on the templates at $HOME/Templates. Because of that, one can not use HUD to create a new document based on his/her templates. I have reported upstream (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=729606) but then I was referred here. The behavior is different if I right click on an empty space and select "New Document". Then my templates are showed.
